Vehicle delivery wait times - what to expect

Delivery times are variable and include the time it takes for each car to be built, checked and delivered. Border closures, delayed shipping and logistics issues are causing extra hold-ups, which unfortunately are beyond our control.

Whilst Toyota New Zealand are doing everything in their power to minimise impact, there is unfortunately a run-on effect which impacts our customers and their new vehicles delivery wait times across most model Toyotas.

Currently the average delivery time is 7-8 months, with some more popular models taking longer. However, some petrol model RAV4 and Yaris, plus some hybrid model Corollas are available within six months

At all times we will do our best to provide all our customers with open, honest communication around expected timeframes and you will hear from our sales team with regular updates, even if it is just to advise you that the expected delivery time remains the same. When you place an order for your new vehicle you will receive a letter from Toyota New Zealand confirming your order has been received. Once your vehicle is in production in one of our factories, we will send you another email. You will also receive an email from TNZ when you vehicle is on the ship, headed to New Zealand, and again when it lands. Once we receive your new vehicle in our dealership you will get another email from TNZ. Your sales consultant will give you a call and arrange a delivery time. Throughout this wait time, you'll receive regular emails from our sales team advising you of any status changes or delays to your vehicle and accessories. It might seem like a lot, but we want to ensure you feel informed throughout the wait. If at any point you would like to hear less from us, just let us know!

We understand that unforeseen events, situations, choices and requirement changes might mean that you now need your car urgently, or your needs are now slightly different. Our sales team are happy to discuss changes to colour, model and accessories which may mean that you order can be processed sooner. If you do have any concerns, please let our sales team know.
