Celebrating success

The McDermid Auto Collective has had two recent occasions to celebrate our team’s achievements.

Firstly Toyota New Zealand held their annual Toyota Business Excellence Awards in March and our South Canterbury Toyota dealership won the coveted Toyota Supreme Award - for the second year running! In addition, they were also awarded the Parts and Accessories Excellence Award. Added to this were nominations for all our dealerships in at least one category. We celebrated the South Canterbury Toyota team’s success in May with a special night including an inspirational chat from Liam Malone, the multi medal winning Paralympian blade runner who stunned us with his life story from shattering lows to incredible highs

Our own McDermid Auto Collective Staff Awards took place in April. It’s a great chance to recognise the incredible talent we have within our team. Given our geographical spread, we hold the awards nights live at each dealership and broadcast this between the branches to enjoy each other’s company ‘remotely’ which is always entertaining. Award categories are: Apprentice of the Year; Tradesperson of the Year; Vehicle Consultant of the Year; Customer Experience Award; Employee of the Year Emerging Leader of the year; MAC Leadership Award and MAC Core Values Award.
